Bicycling Advocacy
Lakes Region Bicycling is committed to improving conditions for bicycle riding throughout the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. We will be working with local and state governments to make sure they consider the interests of the bicycle-riding community when they make their plans. One of the most important projects we are tackling is to improve the width and condition of the shoulders on the roads around Winnipesaukee. We believe that wide shoulders around the lake will bring many more bicycle riders to the region. What a difference a few days make. Last Friday I was mountain biking at Gunstock , and today we've got a foot of snow on the ground! So I guess its time to winterize my bikes, dust off my indoor trainer, and break out the skis. Of course, if we get a sudden warm spell, I might still squeeze in a few more rides..

It will be interesting cross-country skiing on the sames trails at Gunstock that I've been riding this year - maybe I'll see some of you there!

During the winter months we'll be working on improvements and additions to the Lakes Region Bicycling web site and we'd love to hear your suggestions and comments. Drop me an email at jim@techra.com.

Happy Holidays to all!
